Halachic Disclaimer

The Shabbat and holiday times provided by this application are calculated based on standard astronomical algorithms and geographical coordinates. These times are intended for informational and planning purposes only.

Important: The precise observance of Shabbat and Jewish holidays may vary based on:

  • Local community customs (minhagim)
  • Specific rabbinic rulings
  • Geographical considerations
  • Individual family traditions

Candle lighting times are calculated 18 minutes before sunset by default, and Havdalah times are calculated 50 minutes after sunset. However, different communities may observe different customs (e.g., 40 minutes before sunset in Jerusalem, or 72 minutes after sunset for Havdalah in some communities).

For authoritative halachic times and guidance, please consult your local rabbi or rabbinic authority (posek).
